Senior School Pre-Prep and Prep

As part of their pre-GCSE course Year 9 Food Technology students have been learning about foods from around the globe, developing their knowledge of ingredients and practical skills by making a range of different dishes.

This week the girls were exploring Italian cuisine, designing and making their own pasta sheets.

The girls started with a simple pasta recipe as their base layer and added embellishments such as spots or stripes using pasta made with beetroot or spinach.  The girls then formed the pasta sheets into ravioli using special moulds.

The results were truly delicious and the girls really enjoyed experimenting with ingredients to alter the look and the flavour of the food.
