#GeogSquad were out and about in the school grounds this week as Guerrilla Geographers, with the aim of getting our school community to notice more about changes around them.

#GeogSquad members were concerned that we take environmental change for granted and that people really only sit up and take notice when it's too late.  They went out to investigate if the students and staff at Pipers really did notice small scale changes in the environment around them when a seemingly "random grassy mound" appeared on the pathway outside the cafe.

#GeogSquad members, armed with their clipboards, carefully observed reactions, noting that the majority of students and staff simply walked on by without even taking a second glance.  Nevertheless, there were some looks of confusion and it was great to see some Year 10 students taking more time to investigate the temporarily new addition along their route to lunch.  Nevertheless, the overall #GeogSquad conclusion was that we don't question change enough and walk on by, expecting others to question or do something about it.

#GeogSquad will be out and about again later this term, deploying their Guerrilla Geographer tactics on their mission to get everyone thinking more about our world.
