The whole school had the opportunity to come together as a community on Friday for a whole school service. Led by School Chaplain, Rev Gurr. The theme for the service this year was “Prayer”. This gave the girls an opportunity to understand the meaning of prayer and why it is important in our everyday lives.

As in previous years, the service was intended to be held outside on the school lawn, however the weather had other plans and the service had to be moved inside to the Sports Hall. Thankfully the gloomy weather did not prevent the girls from enjoying a beautiful service.

Rev Gurr gave a talk about the importance of prayer and how a community can pray for many different things in order to help, friends, family and strangers. To highlight the importance of prayer, Pre-Prep girls sang “The Best Gift” which was followed by a dance interpretation of the Lord’s Prayer by the Pipers Corner Dance Company and Year 7 singing “Mighty to Save”. Prep girls had also written prayers for guidance, being thankful and for others who need help in difficult times, which they read to the rest of the school
