Wear a Hat Day in honour of Sue Harris, former Librarian.

This week marks one year since the passing of our former Librarian, Sue Harris. In her honour, today was ‘Wear a Hat Day’ and everyone came into school with their best headwear, in aid of Brain Tumour Research. In addition to the traditional mufti donation, a range of hat themed pin badges and wrist bands were sold to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

We had excellent turnout from everyone in school, all the way down in Pre-Prep through to Sixth Form and Staff –  there were plenty of bucket hats and beanies, as well as some unique headpieces such as Mr McKain’s flashing rabbit ears!

A competition was organised for the best literary themed hat, judged by Mrs Ness-Gifford. Competition was fierce with so many marvellous hats to choose from – some students wore hats inspired by their favourite book, while others created hats to celebrate the love of literature.c
